Now, using modern implements, local craftsmen are able to recreate and breathe new life into this dying art.The candleholders are made up of three categories of craftsmen.First the creators have the vision.Then the makers take over to assemble the metal pieces which are likely old metal drums and scraps of recyclable metal.Then the finishers add the final touches of beads and or copper.
The candleholders are inspired by both tradition and contemporary styles.All the objects have meaning in today’s world.
