Hello from Art Out of Africa

We are Steve and Jeannie Hubing. We live in central Wisconsin. What is our connection to Africa? you might ask? Well, we are interested in helping the African people by giving them an outlet to sell handcrafted gift items. Although we have not yet traveled to Africa ourselves, a good friend of ours has. He has seen the poverty, he has seen the hope and he has seen the excitement of the African people as they show and sell their many one of a kind gift items. He is anxious to go back and gather more gifts.

Even though there are quantities of the same items on this site, they are all different. Each is either handmade, hand carved, hand blown or otherwise recycled by African people. No two are exactly alike, they vary in size, color, style and individual craftsmanship.

When you make a purchase from Art Out of Africa you are purchasing a unique, quality and handcrafted gift for yourself or for someone special. Take a look at the Shona stone and read the history. Look at the chameleon and read a fun story. The Green Glass is from the original company in Africa. Nearly impossible to find these days in the states. Look at all the items, you will be sure to find a few great ideas for gifts or for artful items to accentuate your home.
